Fr. Bob Hamill is the parish priest of the Church of St Alban's in the Diocese of Brentwood. He has been visiting Lourdes for over 25 years, 21 of which have been with the Brentwood Catholic Handicapped Fellowship.

The CHF Pilgrimage Group was started by Sheelagh Tooth in 1962. Sheelagh died on 16th January 2000. Fr. Bob is now supported by Mary Biss and her team of Helpers who do all the administrative work and make the travel arrangements.
Fr. Bob has a great gift with young people with different needs and his services are renowned for their liveliness and spontaneity. Indeed, the young people are central to the celebration of Mass. He is pictured with Peter Newton, a key member of the group for many years who sadly died on the 19th January 2004, may he rest in peace. Always popular with the members of the main pilgrimage, Fr. Bob mass is often a moving experience and thoroughly recommended.
